The predecessor company of Penstone Corporation was Ishizaki Honten, a long-standing company that was founded in 1918.
They were in business as a glass manufacturer and processor for over 100 years in their hometown Hiroshima.
In April 2022, Ishizaki Honten transitioned to a holdings structure. It was split into two separate companies. The departments that handled building materials became Ishizaki Honten Company, Limited, and the departments that handled automobile-related work became Penstone Corporation.
The company name is new, but the long history and passion for the technology and manufacturing cultivated over the years lives deep within each one of us.

Company Name Origin

The name PENSTONE was created from the pen in “peninsula,” and the word “stone,” which comes from the Japanese word “ishi” in the name “Ishizaki.” It means a business that takes a strong leading position in its generation and opens a path for the future.
