When I first started working in Thailand it was quite difficult for me, as Japanese culture and ways of thinking don’t really hold true here, and I couldn’t convey my thoughts clearly. I basically relied on an interpreter, and gradually became able to communicate my thoughts using basic English and Thai (vocabulary) and gestures.
One advantage of a company having overseas bases is being able to quickly respond to requests, since your base is very close to your customers. You can also cultivate global markets. You also have to deal with your work while further widening your perspective, more so than working at your home country, which is quite difficult. However, learning the culture of another country enables you to have valuable experiences that you can’t get in Japan, and I really appreciate it.
